Liberum appointed as Nomad and Sole Corporate Broker to Stanley Gibbons
We are pleased to announce that Liberum has been appointed as Nomad and Sole Corporate Broker to The Stanley Gibbons Group Plc.
An AIM-quoted group with a distinguished heritage dating back to 1856, Stanley Gibbons is the world’s longest established rare stamp merchant. The Company engages in the dealing of stamps, autographs, rare records, antiques, work of art, auctioneering and collectibles. It also develops and operates collectible websites, philatelic publishing, auctioneering, mail order, retailing and the manufacture of philatelic accessories.
Note – Philately is the collection, appreciation and research on stamps and other philatelic products (other postal matter).
Following the announcement of one of the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiaries going into administration in late 2017, Phoenix UK Fund subscribed for 58.1% of the enlarged share capital. The Company subsequently launched its three-year turnaround strategy in 2018, which set out its recently implemented management changes, and includes Stanley Gibbons’ plans to cut costs and reinvigorate the business.
Liberum has been appointed as the Company’s Nomad and Sole Corporate Broker with immediate effect.
