Panmure Liberum introduces Senior Advisor Panel
We are delighted to introduce our Senior Advisor Panel. Our six Advisors are all highly experienced individuals with different skills and areas of focus that we are able to call upon for advice, support and to help build important new connections.
The quality of our Panel is testament to our ongoing commitment to excellence both in the service of our clients and also in our ambition to be the UK’s leading mid-tier investment bank. The list of advisors and their biographies is shown below:
Oliver Hemsley
Oliver was founder and CEO of Numis Securities for 25 years before leaving the City in 2017 to take up dairy farming and cheese manufacturing. Numis became a leading UK institutional stockbroker and built a formidable corporate client base. Numis was taken over by Deutsche Bank in 2023. Oliver joined Panmure Liberum in September 2024.
Sapna Shah
Sapna joined Panmure Gordon in November 2019 as Co-Head of the Investment Funds team. Sapna has over 14 years’ experience in the UK corporate finance market having previously worked at Cenkos, Stifel and UBS. During her career Sapna has been involved in raising in excess of £8 billion for investment companies and REITs listed on the London Stock Exchange and Euronext. Sapna sits on the FCA Investment Funds Sponsor Forum and various AIC committees and has a number of NED roles.
Lord Soames
Nicholas joined Panmure Gordon in 2020 as Senior Advisor following a longstanding career as a Member of Parliament and a Minister. Nicholas presided over many roles with extensive interests in defence, international relations and industry. Nicholas brings substantial experience and business knowledge, having previously worked in The City, not only as a stockbroker, but also in the insurance industry.
Kevin Wall
Kevin joined Panmure Gordon in January 2021, bringing over 40 years of experience from Barclays, spanning a variety of geographies. Throughout his career, Kevin has held client and product leadership roles in Corporate and Investment Banking. Kevin was previously CEO of Barclays Europe, a member of the Executive Committee of Barclays Bank Plc, and a NED of the Business Growth Fund.
Austin Healey
Austin joined Panmure Gordon in February 2023. Following a distinguished Rugby career Austin worked for Credit Suisse until 2008. He then became a partner in a renewable energy company AMP Solar, which was sold to Apollo in 2016. Along with ex-teammate Will Greenwood, he created The Legends Group which provides events, holidays and the Festival of Sport. Austin brings experience and understanding of what it is like to be an entrepreneur, particularly in renewable energy, fintech and hospitality, along with skills in private funding through extensive personal and business connections.
Stuart Watson
Stuart joined Panmure Gordon in 2021 as a Senior Advisor and originator in Investment Banking. Based out of our Leeds office, Stuart’s focus is on the North of England. Stuart brings extensive experience advising listed companies and growth business across multiple industries. Stuart is a former EY Managing Partner and was NED at Clipper Logistics until the sale of the business in May 2022. Stuart is currently NED for Vp Plc and Flowtech Fluidpower Plc.
