Liberum acts as Nomad and Sole Bookrunner on £22m fundraising for The City Pub Group plc
We are pleased to announce that Liberum acted as Nomad and Sole Bookrunner on a £15m Placing and £7m Open Offer to raise £22m in aggregate for The City Pub Group plc. The oversubscribed Placing received strong demand from existing and new high-quality institutional investors. The Placing and Open Offer shares were issued at 50p and represent 42% of the Company’s enlarged issued share capital.
The net proceeds of the Placing and Open Offer will be used primarily to strengthen the Company's balance sheet during this ongoing suspended trading environment and also, should the right opportunities arise, to expand the Company's portfolio of pubs at a time when the Directors' believe acquisition prices will be reduced in the short term.
Liberum has been Nomad and Joint Broker to the Company since its IPO in 2017 and acted as Joint Bookrunner on its £6m placing in 2018.
